Introduction
The Nilgiri-class is the first indigenously designed and built class of stealth guided-missile frigates under Project 17A (P-17A) of the Indian Navy. The class represents a major step towards Aatmanirbhar Bharat in defence manufacturing and significantly enhances India’s blue-water naval capabilities.
