The Endocrine Society proposed renaming Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) as Polyendocrine Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome (PMOS) to better reflect its hormonal + metabolic nature.

  • Polyendocrine Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome (PMOS): Focuses on endocrine hormonal, metabolic, and ovarian dysfunction together.

  • Undiagnosed cases: Up to 70%
