Context: GOBARdhan Scheme 2026
The Union Cabinet has approved the National Circular Bioenergy Scheme, also called GOBARdhan — Galvanising Organic Bio-Agro Resources Dhan, with an outlay of ₹23,731 crore.
The scheme will run from FY 2026–27 to FY 2035–36 and aims to expand Compressed Biogas production while promoting a circular bioeconomy.
