Overview
IN-SPACe, or the Indian National Space Promotion and Authorisation Centre, is an autonomous single-window agency under the Department of Space created to promote, regulate and authorise participation of private and non-government entities in India’s space sector.
It was established following the Indian Space Sector Reforms of 2020.
Its creation marked a major shift from a largely ISRO-dominated model towards a broader ecosystem involving:
