Delhi Development Authority (DDA)

Introduction

The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) is the premier statutory planning and development authority responsible for the planned development of the National Capital Territory (NCT) of Delhi. It is entrusted with preparing Delhi’s Master Plans, regulating land use, developing housing and infrastructure, and ensuring sustainable urban growth.

The DDA functions under the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA), Government of India.

Preparation of Master Plan

The DDA prepares and periodically revises the Master Plan for Delhi (MPD), which provides the long-term vision for the city’s development.

The Master Plan includes:
